RECOGNITION: LUPA become a member of the Global investigative journalism network (GIJN)

 

Crime and corruption reporting network – LUPA become a member of the Global investigative journalism network (GIJN).
GIJN is a leading international association of non-profit organizations that support, promote and produce investigative journalism. It was founded in 2003. in Copenhagen. Since then, it has brought together more than 200 members from 81 countries.
Every two years, GIJN organizes a world conference of investigative journalism, which brings together more than 5.000 journalists.
LUPA deputy editor Stanko Radulovic, said that the membership in the Global investigative journalism network is a recognition for the work done so far and the promotion of investigative journalism in Montenegro and abroad.
“LUPA, together with partners from abroad, has realized several notable international researches. Some of the research also received journalistic awards. That, among other things, influenced the leaders of the prestigious international association GIJN to make a decision for LUPA to become a member”, said Radulović. He added that LUPA will continue to operate successfully.
“Membership in GIJN obliges us to continue with quality work and to improve investigative journalism day by day, all with the aim of successfully fighting for a society in which the rule of law is respected and the values of democratic societies are nurtured, without tolerance for corruption and organized crime”, concluded Radulović.
Beside Crime and corruption reporting network – LUPA in Montenegro, the membership in Global investigative journalism network (GIJN) since 2015 has Center for Investigative Journalism of Montenegro (CIN-CG).
