Anti-personnel mines owned by the state of Montenegro

For years, the state of Montenegro has been hiding from the United Nations (UN) and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) that it has not got rid of anti-personnel mines, which it owns, and that it transports them through its territory, despite the fact that it is ammunition prohibited by an international convention.

False reports were sent through diplomacy, which was duly stamped and signed by authorized state reporters, which is an international scandal. The citizens of Montenegro were also deceived, who was informed by the former government of Milo Djukanovic that these prohibited lethal means were not on the territory of the state.

Irresponsible and unscrupulous behavior of individuals in state institutions also violated the Criminal Code of Montenegro, according to long-term research conducted by the Crime and corruption reporting network – LUPA.
